Job Purpose:

  • The Village Key and I&I Specialist will work closely with the Village Key, Inventory & Inspections Manager to coordinate the Village support operations and services provided to all athletes and team officials residing in the Athletes’ Village (AVL).

Key responsibilities:
Key Objectives:

  • Assist Village Support Operation (VSO) Management with the development and implementation of SOC operating plans; including the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures, mainly focussing on the Keys and I&I department
  • Give bilingual support (Azeri, Russian and English) within the VSO team
  • Support with the resident / operational workforce keys programme at both the Athletes Village and Media / Workforce Village
  • Assist with the allocation and prioritisation of work orders during all operational phases, including test events and Games Times, with particular emphasis on the key program
  • Assist in the production of the I&I process in partnership in NOC Services for the Athletes Village and broadcast with all Media Village stakeholders
  • Continuously contribute to the review SOC performance throughout each operational phase, facilitating change if needed in an efficient manner.
  • Represent VSO in liaison with key international and external stakeholders
  • Lead VSO radio management, including; radio allocation, distribution and on-air traffic management when required
  • Act as a Village Key, I&I manager as required
  • Other duties as specified by the Village Support Operations Management

Key accountabilities:

  • Ensure BEGOC and Village Support operation policies and procedures, and departmental instructions are implemented and adhered to
  • Responsible for supervising the village support team assistants and volunteers in the Key and I&I section during the allocated shifts at test events and Games time
  • Ensure an efficient handover on shift changes, during Test Event and Games Time, and report back to Key and I&I manager if there are any problems or changes
  • Responsible for managing the expectations of different stakeholders

  • Experience in coordinating and motivating teams/volunteers from diverse backgrounds

Specialist Skills:

  • Proficiency in the English, Azeri and Russian language (written and spoken)

  • Highly developed communication skills to all levels of the organisation.
  • High level of proficiency with general Microsoft Office PC applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
