Job Purpose:

  • The Village Support Operations Centre Specialist will work with the Village Supports Operations Centre Manager to coordinate the Village Support Operations Centre (VSOC) for the Athletes’ Village (AVL) and Media Village (MVL).

Key responsibilities
Key Objectives:

  • Work with the VSO (Village Support Operations) for the development and smooth running of the Test Events, concentrating on the WOS (Work Order System).
  • Provide the bilingual support (English, Russian and Azeri) to all Village Operational areas (AVL and MVL), especially to the VSOC.
  • Develop the documentation required for the operation of the VSOC (Village Support Operations Centre).
  • Assist the Village Support Operations Centre Manager in the Issues Tracking, Reporting and Resolution.
  • Coordinate support to the Village Logistics and Village Keys I&I
    (Inspections& Inventories) Departments when required.
  • Participate in the contingency and emergency planning of VSO and MVSO.
  • Support the management and assignment of VSO’s entire allocation of Volunteer staff during Test Events and Games Time.
  • Assist VSO and MVSO site management in administrating the contractor induction and accreditation process.
  • During Operational phases the further duties and tasks may be required; Village Support Operations Management will advise accordingly.

Key accountabilities

  • Ensure the VSOC operating plans are delivered at a premium level, meeting the time respond guideline.
  • Coordinate communication channels of the internal and external stakeholders of VSOC in relations to MDS (Master Delivery System), WOS and other operational areas.
  • Supervise and support the VSOC Assistants and Volunteers.
  • Lead of the VSOC radio allocation, distribution and on-air traffic management during assigned shifts.
  • Act as the Duty Manager when required.
  • Oversee and manage data input and reports production from WOS.
  • Allocation and prioritization of logistic/maintenance related work orders during operational phases.
  • Ensure smooth running of shifts transition and handover during Test Events and Games Time.

Specialist Skills:

  • High level of proficiency with general Microsoft Office PC applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook. etc.)
  • Previous experience of working with any Operational Programme is an advantage
