The Well Integrity Team Leader and Technical Authority for Well Integrity is responsible to conform to BP Group Standards, Practices, Guides and the Well Integrity Management Strategy (WIMS). The role is the single point of contact for Well Integrity conformance across the Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey Region (AGTR). The role interfaces with Base Management, Reservoir Development, Production Operations and Wells.


Job description:


  • Accountable for Well Integrity across multiple assets (ACG & SD)
  • Ensure consistent and uniform application of WIMS (Well Integrity Management System) across AGTR
  • Screen AGT wells consistent with BP Global guidelines and update WIMS document yearly
  • Teamwork with Engineering, Operations and Team Leaders regarding well integrity
  • AGT Technical Authority (TA) for Well Integrity ensuring effective processes and practices for: Investigation of well integrity anomalies o Contingency plans for problem wells (including risk assessments and mitigating actions);Monitoring repairs and maintenance practices o Recommending improvements for materials and operating practices o Assess of existing well integrity diagnostics and repair technology; Application of “New to Region” technologies and best practices in Well Integrity Mgt o Develop additional well integrity diagnostics resources (in country) where gaps are identified; Operational support to the asset well integrity engineers (as required); Provide effective training, coaching and mentoring of Azerbaijan National well integrity staff
  • Review and evaluate well integrity dispensations to ensure validity (existing and future)
  • Prepare reports summarizing well integrity status (and recommendations on any actions)
  • Provide independent dispensation assurance to Delivery Managers, Vice President, Head of Discipline
  • Develop and manage well integrity related contracts (wellhead, tree maintenance, refurbishment, etc)
  • AGTR technical representative for well integrity matters with service providers
  • Evaluate AGTR wells incorporating requirements from BP Well Mgt Engineering Technical Practice (ETP)
  • Own and maintain well integrity Site Technical Practice (STP)
  • Ensure AGTR wells and operations are in compliance with BP practices
  • Liaison with Drilling Teams to ensure new well designs fully meet integrity requirements (before drilling)
  • Integrity sign-off at casing points (during new well construction) and highlight exceptions
  • Influence future new well construction “Basis of Design”
  • Support Base Mgt Teams with routine well integrity reviews and maintenance records to ensure: o Well integrity standards are maintained (using regular well site visits) o Influence development and maintenance of well operating guidelines o Use digital Well File to store well integrity information o Develop and implement personnel training to enhance competencies across AGTR
  • AGTR representative on the BP Global Well Integrity Network
  • Liaison with Segment Well Integrity TA to ensure consistency of standards and procedure globally
  • Transfer best practices by use of internal and external networks
  • Participate in internal Operational Management System and Group compliance audits

 

Requirements:

 

  • Engineering Degree Bachelor of Science (BSc) or equivalent
  • Engineering Degree Bachelor of Science (BSc) or equivalent 
  • Minimum 15 years of global oil & gas experience with emphasis on Well Intervention, Well Integrity, Drilling, Completion engineering and field operations of which some should be with a Major Global Oil Company and or Service Contractor
  • Minimum of 3 yrs supervisory experience
  • Demonstrable experience managing/leading risk assessments
  • Working knowledge of computer programs and systems Word, Excel, Power point
  • Fluent written, spoken and reading English
  • Valid Drilling Well Control Certification e.g. International Well Control Forum (IWCF), International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) or WellCap
  • Valid Well Interventions Pressure Control certification
  • Drilling & Completion Engineering Design, Planning and Operational experience
