Job description:

  • Responsible for estimating projects in Azerbaijan and Caspian Region indicating all material, 3rd party and labour costs required for the successful award of contract from potential client
  • This includes all conceptual negotiated and competitive bid estimates and interfacing with electrical estimators, all support teams, suppliers, subcontractors and client representatives to produce precise and accurate estimates
  • Ensure all risk assessments for each job site are conducted in accordance with Company procedures and specific client requirements
  • Ensure all HSEQ documentation is prepared and provided to individuals carrying out work activities
  • Carry out work activities in accordance with all HSEQ requirements and procedures
  • Carry out personal risk assessments and any other health and safety requirements to ensure personal safety
  • Conduct yourself in a safe manner and in a manner to protect the safety of others
  • Supporting to discipline Electrical Estimators in preparing various proposals and cost estimates or variations per bid procedure and client and company requirements
  • Review documentation and establish scope of works for the compilation of a comprehensive client proposal
  • Ensuring enquiries are logged to comply with company QA System and open enquiry file
  • Register and control of enquiry scope of works documents, drawings or proposal documents and filing them according to company procedures
  • Obtain competitive quotations from various suppliers or subcontractors to ensure company remains competitive and submits best prices
  • If required visit clients/customers sites as required to carry out site surveys and provide suitable proposals for their requirements also advise on current electrical standards and regulations
  • Process and distribute all RFI for estimating/tendering and Job Addendums
  • Answer tender / proposal clarifications from clients in timely and efficient manner
  • To ensure company complies with tender return deadlines and requirements
  • Prepare and issue labor rates or materials costs as required to clients
  • Reviewing and updating proposals as required by client
  • Preparing various proposals with assistance of discipline estimators
  • Identify any contractual conditions from client which would impact financially on company and highlight these to operations manager prior to submitting company proposal
  • Ensure timely preparation of proposals and Tenders
  • Ensure ongoing jobs files are prepared and accessible for Operations Manager/Department Managers and Accounting Department
  • Maintain Positive client and subcontractor relationships.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Degree or Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or degree qualification in finance or accounts
  • Quantity surveying diploma or degree qualification
  • Min 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Technician, Supervisor or Engineer or Estimator in the Construction Industry or Oil and Gas Industry or alternatively 3-5 years’ experience in quantity surveying, project services, cost control or estimating environment
  • Relevant  quantity surveying, commercial, project services or estimating background
  • Ability to Excellent Written and Oral Communications Skills in English
  • To have good computer skills (Word)
  • High level excel skills Familiar with reading drawings and specifications
  • Excellent Quantitative and analytical skills
  • Have knowledge of the Electrical Contracting or Oil & Gas Industry
  • Self-motivated and flexible to accommodate changes in Company business strategies
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work to deadlines and multitask
  • Ability to work under pressure Have knowledge of the Electrical Contracting or Oil & Gas Industry
