Job Description: 

  • Responsible for providing technical expertise in aviation reporting to Aviation TL and advice to the EPRA (Entity person responsible for aviation). 
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering technical advice and expertise for the safe operation of Aviation for all Aviation requirements, performing self-verification/gap assessment of all aviation assets and processes within company GDP (group defined practices/ requirements, as well as advising on risk and technical aspects of compliance/conformance, learning and industry & regulatory views.
  • Provide technical aviation expertise in the provision of risk assessments and Job Safety Analyses in aviation operations to assist and support all aspects of Regional operations People Management 
  • Advises on technical aspects of capability training and competence development in Aviation 
  • Continuous monitoring of contracted aviation providers for safety conformance to GDP standards. 
  • Provide specialised aviation safety oversight for inspections, safety meetings, and corrective action reports for aviation operation, aircraft and facilities 
  • Provide technical expertise on tender evaluation process (RFP & technical evaluation) 
  • Assessment and management of aviation risks in the region 
  • Work with Aviation Team to ensure that appropriate incident response reporting action is taken and monitor follow up actions and closure. 
  • Supports and provide resources and expertise to accident and incident investigation services 
  • Participate in Global Aviation reviews and Audit (where agreed with GHoA) as an observer 

Requirements:

  • A suitably qualified (degree, license, etc.) person in aviation with pilot or engineer background. 
  • 10-15 years demonstrable aviation technical experience (pilot or engineer).
  • Excellent ability to use MS Outlook, Word, Project, Excel software. 
  • Excellent communication skills including excellent command of written and spoken English.

  • 10-15 years demonstrable aviation technical experience (pilot or engineer).
  • Excellent ability to use MS Outlook, Word, Project, Excel software. 
  • Excellent communication skills including excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Team player, quick thinker, ability to quickly assess aviation scenarios to determine when and if aviation guidelines, policies or aviation legislation are applicable to situations. 
  • Demonstrative firm decision making ability based on applicable international, legislative and company standards. 
  • Ability to Audit, review and verify as required with reference to applicable audit, review and verification criteria.
