Job description:

  • Working jointly for the PGM for Offshore Facilities and the Project Services Manager for SD2 this role is responsible for coordinating and delivering all cost, planning, Information Management and project support activities for the construction of the SD2 Jackets and Decks. 
  • The incumbent will coordinate E&P activity from the UK with construction activity in Baku and provide robust team leadership and performance management on behalf of the PGM.
  • Provide Leadership to the overall Project Services organisation for SD2 construction in Baku-covering construction work at ATA yard (decks) and BDJF yard (jackets, subsea and marine) Support the SD2 PSM as a senior member of his leadership team. 
  • Integrate the Project Services deliverables for Offshore Facilities (OF) across Engineering, Procurement and Construction and support the OF PGM as a key member of his leadership team. 
  • Work with the SD2 VP as a member of the Project Services "close-support" team in Baku. 
  • Manage the Organisational Capability for PS in Baku-ensuring that staffing plans are achieved. 
  • Identify and develop Azerbaijani national resources for future projects, with clear succession plans for how this will be achieved. 
  • Ensure that Project Services deliverables are met consistently and to a high standard across all activity areas with a bias towards consistency and "clarity from complexity" 
  • Manage interfaces between Project Services, the SD2 Delivery organisation (PGM’s, Delivery Managers), Finance, PSCM to actively support a "one team" approach to project delivery.


  • University Degree in Engineering, Business or economics.
  • 5 years’ experience in international onshore oil and gas projects. 
  • Demonstrated leadership of HSSE in both office and field. 
  • Leadership of project services teams – preferably across multiple locations and in a multicultural environment. 
  • Experience of major project planning and cost control in both site and main office locations. 
  • Experienced in presenting to senior management, partners, governmental and other stakeholders.
  • PMP qualification would be beneficial. 
  • Offshore facilities construction experience would be beneficial.
