Job Description:

  • Carry out maintenance and control of all the electrical and electronic diving related systems equipment;
  • Ensure the efficiency of the electrical and electronic diving related systems equipment;
  • Work in consultation with the leader of department in the day-to-day maintenance of the systems to ensure a safe and efficient operation of the complex;
  • Provide maintenance plan and spare parts;
  • Manage the electrical and electronic diving related systems equipment ensuring its continuous operation through ordinary/extraordinary maintenance and repairs;
  • Define maintenance work setting priorities and draw up a maintenance frequency schedule;
  • Stock the required quantity of material through the establishment of minimum and maximum stock levels, in order to ensure the work continuity. Order spare parts for scheduled maintenance in due time;
  • Keep and maintain Guidance Notes for diving systems;
  • Keep and maintain current Vendors Catalogue Library of all equipment in area of responsibility;
  • Ensure that all equipment in area of responsibility are certified, in suitable condition and properly stored;
  • Report near misses and incidents;
  • Ensure that permit work system is understood and operated;
  • Provide shift Toolbox and JSA (Job Safety Analysis) if required;
  • Perform duties within the vessel emergency team as indicated in the Emergency preparedness manual;
  • Fully adhere, at all times and irrespective of the work place, to Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) policies, procedures and requirements;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Superior.


  • Competent to the requirements of IMCA for personnel involved in maintenance of complex diving plant and equipment used on commercial air or closed bell diving work sites. 
  • Trade qualification relevant to the work, or sufficient years of documented experience in their field of experience to competently perform their work.
  • Work Experience: Min. two (2) years working on a Dive Support Vessel saturation diving system
  • Knowledge of Languages: English
