Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensuring the successful performance of all Outlets and Banquet operations,
  • Leading and coaching the Food & Beverage Operations teams in providing exceptional guest service, colleague satisfaction and profitability
  • Overseeing the development of creative cutting edge menus, wine lists, service delivery and standards for all food and beverage operations
  • Developing and implementing innovative promotional and sales events
  • Implementing and complying with standards as outlined in the company Food and Beverage Service Essentials, including company Gold
  • Developing divisional goals and measurements resulting in a balanced score card of guest, colleague, shareholder and brand
  • Ensuring effective Colleague planning, selection, training and development strategies are in place
  • Develop and maintain close and effective working relationship with all supporting departments.
  • Ensuring that monthly financial obligations to budgets and forecasts for food & beverage revenues, expenses and productivity are accurate and on target
  • Preparing the annual Food & Beverage budget and F&B Capital plan
  • Contributor in developing the hotel wide strategic goals and plans
  • Continuously seek ways to improve colleague engagement
  • Promoting colleague health and safety
  • Ensuring all F&B Operations are meeting and exceeding standards set forth by the health department
  • Advancing environmental stewardship in the division.

 

Requirements:

 

  • 7 - 10 years’ experience in Food & Beverage with a broad operational knowledge and a minimum 5 - 7 years in a Department Head role 
  • Previous experience in re-concepting outlets or leading a restaurant through renovations
  • Excellent culinary and wine knowledge required
  • Previously demonstrated leadership skills supporting an environment of colleague growth and development, interdepartmental teamwork and exceptional guest service
  • Ability to analyze data and trends and create strategies for improvement
  • Innovative, creative and willing to take risks
  • Results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Creative and effective leader and team player, possessing a high degree of professionalism, sound human resources management principles, communication, administrative skills, ambition, drive, energy, and determination
  • Diploma or degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline a strong asset
