Job Description
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the Company's GTIMS.
  • Provide all discipline (Mech/Elect/Inst/Electr) support for rig maintenance personnel throughout Company's AQS operations.
  • Input, control, review and maintain the reliability of Company's CMMS (SAP) to a standard apposite for the management of maintenance in line with Company's Global Standards, Client Integrity management, API & in country interface documentation.
  • Maintain and ensure all personnel carry out duties in line with Company's, API Q2 and recognized international engineering practices, standards & guidelines. API, LOLER, HSE, SOLAS.
  • Carry out and supervise equipment repair and overhaul offshore ensuring all work is carried out in a timely manner as per Company's GTIMS
  • Liaise with Drilling Operations (onshore & offshore) and designated Rig Manager to ensure maintenance activities are planned and coordinated effectively.
  • Carry out weekly audits of all planned Maintenance Routines completed by technical personnel offshore for all existing and new equipment within relevant Maintenance Management System.
  • Responsible for the receipt of and ensuring that all material goods and equipment are correct and fit for purpose
  • Have direct input to any shutdown or planned stoppage, develop plans and engage with relevant Maintenance Superintendent / Rig Manager as and when required. Including both Shut down & Maintenance work scopes.
  • Assist with the onshore and offshore maintenance teams engagement in lateral learning and lessons learned bulletins.
  • Assist with planning and control of all CLPi / mini shutdowns on respective assets
  • Responsible for the completion and control / implementation of start-up documentation and transfer between Ops and Maintenance.
  • Familiarize themselves with the Company's Safety Policy and to take reasonable care to ensure the health and safety of themselves and other persons likely to be affected by their acts or omissions as required under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974.
  • Actively promote safety culture in discussions with offshore maintenance personnel and during visits to operations locations.
  • Assist with the planning and financial control surrounding the requirements of individual platform spare parts and planned services
  • Actively participate, contribute to Maintenance Department meetings and discussion groups.
  • Provide cross discipline support to other Maintenance Department team members.
  • Direct involvement of the development of junior team members.


  • Have suitable extended knowledge of a given discipline / field of experience. Either Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical – minimum of 3 to 5 years in a senior position (dependent on type of experience);
  • Have experience of managing personnel (preferably of different disciplines) – 2 years plus;
  • Experience using CMMS (computerised Maintenance Management Systems) eg - SAP or Maximo;
  • Understand and be aware of offshore well control requirements and equipment;
  • Computer literate;
  • English level (upper-intermediate);
  • Good communication skills.
