Job Description
  • Assist the Managing Director and Group Finance in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial  management, budget and accounting;
  • Supervise and control the preparation of various management/group internal financial statements and reports ;
  • Ascertain the preparation of financial reports in accordance to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) for external use.
  • Direct the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records;
  • Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties;
  • Manage and prepare monthly and other periodic financial reporting for the company, including executive reporting, cash flow projections, quarterly revenue forecasts and budget;
  • Coordinate preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting for the group external auditor;
  • The contact person for the external auditors of the company.
  • Direct the installation and maintenance of accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls;
  • Responsible for the tax accounting procedures and all tax reports of the company.
  • Make sure that the company’s tax obligation are met in a timely manner and optimize the tax obligations of the company whenever possible.
  • Contact person for state tax auditors.
  • Appraise performance; rewarding and disciplining employees.
  • Perform consolidation of financial reports between Hertel Rotterdam and Hertel Azerbaijan
  • Input consolidated ISNL/ISAB financial reports into Viareport system
  • Control over treasury operations
  • Contract the client reg. collection of receivables
  • Perform other duties as requested by the management.
  • Strictly follow company rules, policies and procedures and be responsible for their violation.
  • Report accidents, incidents and unsafe conditions immediately to your supervisor
  • Work in a manner that prevents pollution and protects the environment
  • Must work safely at all times
  • Monitor team to ensure working safely at all times
  • University degree in economics, accounting or business administration. 
  • Extensive experience in financial accounting strongly preferred along with demonstrated experience in management accounting, reporting and control
  • Strong knowledge in MS Office package
  • Fluent in Azerbaijani and English (both verbal and written)
  • Good knowledge in economic and financial topics;
  • Internationally recognised certificate in Accounting/Finance. 
  • Must have a wide knowledge and experience in relevant field
  • 10-12 year work experience in financial management in relevant field or industry.
