Job Description
  • Review and process requisitions/standard orders as assigned by Buyers. Coordinate requirements and deliveries with suppliers and internal customers to meet scheduled dates
  • Proactively communicate with suppliers on order acknowledgements and past due, current and future open orders
  • Expedite solution of problems that arise in relation to delivery dates, quality, quantity, and cost of purchased commodities
  • Assist Buyers in the preparation for and execution of the Competitive Inquiry process. Follow-up with information organization
  • Maintenance of the key Purchasing information
  • Audits supplier invoices to insure conformance to PO requirements
  • Contact vendors or work with web-based purchasing processes, to obtain prices and delivery information; and enter information into spreadsheet and/or current data system, accurately and efficiently
  • Set up suppliers, materials and parts in the purchasing system
  • Gather appropriate information from suppliers in regards to requested products, availability, specifications and pricing
  • Serve as the back-up for Buyers when absent
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Potential career and salary growth
  • 1-3 years of purchasing experience.
  • Knowledge of Purchasing and/or Supply Chain. Knowledge of Logistics is a benefit.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills to plan work schedule and manage multiple projects/plans/tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Russian and Azerbaijani
  • Demonstrated ability for detail orientated work
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • SAP or 1C experience is an asset
  • Ability to professionally interface with internal customers and external suppliers
  • Motivated self-starter who can work independently
