Job Responsibilities: Supervise and provide day-to-day support for workshop activities covering equipment dismantling, overhaul, repair or refurbishment, reassembly, and testing. The role will require handling active maintenance work orders and: § Developing work scope for maintenance work orders § Prioritising and assigning tasks to the workshop team § Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify root causes § Reviewing critical spare part, consumables, and materials list and ordering items § Conducting performance tests on equipment § Preparing equipment work order documentation § This role will include liaising with key department functions such as quality and HSE assurance.
Candidate requirements: Good knowledge on the working principles and repair practices of rotating and static equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, valves, heat exchangers, and ancillaries.
International API, ASME, and ANSI codes, standards, and specifications, especially API 610, API 617, API 692, and API 691.
Good English skills, spoken and written.
Good computer skills in MS Word and Excel, and AutoCAD.
Leadership, coaching and influencing skills
Planning and Organization Skills
Ability to read, assess and prepare engineering drawings and technical documents.
Ability to use precision mechanical measurement tools (e.g., calipers).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the maintenance of mechanical equipment rotating and static equipment.
Offshore experience (preferable).
Engineering and degree level education in the mechanical discipline.
Mechanical seals (installation and repair).
Vibration analysis and laser alignment.
Root cause analysis training or other investigation tools
