Operational Responsibilities

• Register the enquires and tenders to the related logs/ERP Program upon receipt.
• Performing on-site project surveys necessary to establish client requirements and brown field project estimations, prepare outline sketches based on survey and preparation of detailed material take offs based on survey.
• Reviewing of drawings and scope and prepare the estimate quantities.
• Preparing detail estimation using norms and vendor quotes.
• Establish clear customer requirements for each enquiry and estimation.
• Ensuring estimation or proposal is technically compliant with customer specifications.
• Prepare scope of works information’s to be inserted into proposal.
• Assistance to preparation of Cable Schedules, preliminary electrical designs and scope of works, if required.
• Assist with planning, scheduling of work scopes.
• Review of and checking of technical documentation required for tenders and proposals prior to sending to client.
• Preparation of technical documentation required for tenders and proposals.
• Assist to Design Engineer to produce initial design drawings and electrical calculations. Check all drawings and amend as necessary. Check Estimates produced by Estimator complies with client requirements.
• Offer technical guidance and support to E&I dept personnel on any technical matters.
• Attend client meetings as required
• Liase with vendors, manufacturers, suppliers as required
• Ensuring QA documentation is utilized and that current procedures are being followed.
• Obtain updated quotes from suppliers for ach enquiry to issue the PR once received the PO from client.
• Manage and provide necessary assistance to the estimators and junior estimators as required.
• Ensure proposals are issued on time and meet the client deadlines.
• Submission of Proposal to the client and follow up with client as required.
• To register the Job upon receipt of PO for the proposals.
• To assistance to prepare the Purchase requisition based on validated quotes.
• To assistance for the preparation of cost control sheet and other requested documents for the E&I division
• Working in NetSuite programs

Administrative / Leadership Responsibilities

• Complete all required documentation in accordance with Rapid Solutions procedures and client specific requirements.
• Co-ordinate all work activities of the team to ensure the safe and efficient completion of the required work activities in accordance with Rapid Solutions procedures and client specific requirements.
• Lead by example and conduct yourself in a safe manner and in a manner to protect the safety of others.
• Coach and mentor other personnel to improve their working practices and quality of workmanship.
• Encourage and foster positive safety attitudes and behaviors amongst other company and contractor personnel.
• Competence Assurance System Responsibilities
• Ensure assessment induction process and checklist are completed in accordance with procedures
• Actively participate in the Competence Assurance System to confirm personal competence within job role in accordance with procedures
• Participate in the performance appraisal process in accordance with Rapid Solutions procedures and within agreed timescale

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
EXPERIENCE

Min 5 years’ experience as Estimator/QS in the MEP or Oil and Gas Industry.
SKILLS/TRAINING

Good written and verbal communications skills in English.
Aware of Industrial Estimating Norms.
Team Player, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Computer Literate in MS office.
Reliable, hardworking and motivated
Capable of delivering projects and meeting deadlines.
Ability to priorities and multitask, to coach and motivate people, to work independently with minimum supervision and identify and solve problems.
